Weddings are a spell of rare emotional openness, and capturing it is so much fun.
OBSERVING how you love is more important than posing you.
What makes you laugh, how you look at each other, how you show affection.
You don't need to perform, but I'll know when you secretly want to and encourage it.
ABOUT CASSIDY
Recently moving to San Francisco from DC changed absolutely everything and gave me the creative push I needed.
But I exist (and fly) between both worlds, of course.
Photography lets me wander into other people's headspace for a while, which works out well since I'm fascinated by people and probably more sentimental than I let on.
I love hosting dinner parties where I order takeout, beautifully re-plate it, and pretend I cooked it. I'm sure there's a metaphor in there somewhere.
I also love going out dancing, collecting obscure Swedish brass candlesticks, and doing terrible drag.
I have a perfectly good BFA in photography, but no one cares. I take the work seriously. Myself, considerably less so.
let's create photos that are colorful and politely dramatic, which is also how friends describe me.
A unique wedding is great, or maybe tradition just needs a unique point of view.
I've loved LGBT+ weddings since before they were legal, but i kindly weLCOME STRAIGHTS.
I still edit every photo by hand to make sure the visual fits the vibe of having been there.
